Careful, These Issues Will Cause Users To Hate Your Site

Are you struggling to get users to visit and more importantly stay on your site?

There can be numerous issues in play here so it’s worth exploring a few of the possibilities.

Once you’ve corrected these problems you should find that the conversions from your site improve dramatically.

Poor Readability

Users absolutely despise sites that are difficult to read. That’s why you need to be careful over stylizing something like a blog.

If they can’t read the info, it doesn’t matter how cool or incredible it looks. This is often a problem with dynamic sites.

You’ll need to make sure that the moving parts don’t detract from the content you’ve created.

Terrible Structure

There’s nothing worse than getting lost on a complicated site. Customers and users hate this. They want to make sure that they can immediately find what they are searching for.

The basic principle here to keep in mind is three clicks. Customers should never be more than three clicks away from what they are searching for.

If you have issues here, then it might be worth taking your site apart and starting again. Adding links can work but it needs to be as integrated as possible.

Trouble With Security

If there is one problem that customers won’t forgive, it’s definitely trouble with security.

If you have issues with security, then you can end up in a situation where data from customers is stolen. Believe it or not, this will eventually be sourced back to you.

To avoid this problem, you need to make sure that you are investing in the services of an IT support team.

If you visit Spectrumwise then you’ll understand how a service like this could help you and get you on the right track.

You will also need to make sure that you are honest with customers if a hack does occur.

Bland Content

Content can be king in terms of marketing a website online.

But that’s only going to be the case if you make sure that you keep it fun, interesting and engaging.

You need to make sure that you do everything in your power to get your content up to a standard where customers love it and want to read more.

This is true whether you’re running a blog or a business site.

The trick here will be to find your voice. If you’re smart, you’ll make sure that every piece of content you create is consistent with the brand image of your company.

Slow Loads

Finally, the general rule of thumb is that your site should load in about three seconds.

If a page isn’t fully loaded by then, research does suggest that users are going to click away in search of another site that doesn’t keep them waiting. It really is as simple as this.

The problem is that it can be quite difficult to correct a slow site. You might find that it needs a complete restructure.

If that’s the case, it’s worth speaking to a web designer.

Alternatively, you can try compressing files.
