4 Effective Ways To Increase Positive Online Reviews

Consistency is crucial for successfully managing your online presence in the current digital-first climate. With 93% of consumers reading reviews before buying any product online, having a current, relevant, and positive online reputation can impact your revenues in a good way. And just as good reviews create new opportunities for leading businesses today, bad reviews can send your business into a downward spiral. Here are some highly successful strategies to prevent that from happening.

  1. Engage in positive social media interactions

Studies have shown that businesses with a positive social media presence are more likely to earn more reviews and feedback. According to a recent Facebook study, users are more likely to pay, participate, advocate and be more loyal when businesses devote time to participate in some social media activity. It can be as easy as swiftly responding to comments on your social media accounts or replying to reviews. This way, your fans know you are eager to engage and interact with them, which is crucial for delivering excellent customer service.

  1. Incentive for reviews

Due to ethical reasons, you cannot bribe customers to post reviews. However, there is nothing wrong with appreciating customers for their efforts. For instance, you can encourage customers to share their thoughts on a product or service in exchange for a discount on their next visit. Emphasize the point that you offer a discount to clients who spend time completing a survey or posting a review after visiting or buying a product from you. It could be rating your business on Facebook or Google+ or posting a review.

  1. Improve your website design

Consumers frequently talk about their online shopping experiences. People will comment about how fantastic a website is, how easy it is to navigate, and how much they enjoyed the entire experience after visiting for the first time. This is the kind of good energy you want to create for your business since it can help you retain your current clients while also attracting new ones. Fortunately, a web design company that focuses on innovation, efficiency, and reliability can help you get more positive reviews regarding your website experience.

  1. Reply to negative reviews

According to some reports, a single negative review can lead to a 22% drop in appearing in your potential customers’ search results list. A negative review can result from a poor experience, so it can be useful to follow up with the customer, acknowledge their input, and sincerely apologize for their experience. Then proceed to work on a satisfactory remedy. When you change a negative review into a good one, request permission to post that the problem has been resolved. The trick here is to take action right away to turn a negative review into a favorable one. However, ensure to be tactful when responding to negative reviews.

Regardless of your business type, online reviews directly affect your bottom lines. As a result, your ability to manage what potential customers see and read about your business and products online is crucial for maintaining your reputation.
