As a business owner, you’re just seeing the benefits of this year’s marketing strategy, and it’s already time to plan for 2022. Every industry is still reeling from the global crisis, so it’s more important than ever to pay attention to what has changed in the way that users behave and consume media. For 2022, implement these emerging digital marketing strategies into your plans.

A lot of digital marketing tip lists for the last decade have been suggesting video. Despite this, a lot of businesses and brands are still reluctant to start making use of video marketing, assuming it will be expensive to do, or because they just aren’t sure where to start. With the rise of TikTok and Instgram announcing the platform will now be a video first platform, the rise of video is coming. 

Most consumers would like to see more videos from brands, and many brands are finally looking to increase their video offering next year. 

Beyond short videos for social media, some brands are starting to use longer-form original content to help to build some brand affinity. Investing some money on live streaming or explainer videos can help brands to build a loyal following and educate their audience about their brand, products, and services. 

Invest In Creating A Strong Brand Image

Branding is an important element of marketing and business in general. When you focus on storytelling and building a solid brand image is what will keep consumers coming back to you. In 2022, a strong brand image needs a two-step or hybrid marketing approach. 

Use digital advertising to get your brand out there. It’s important to remember that digital marketing is getting more expensive. Higher competition drives bidding wars on Google that can get too expensive for small brands. This will always be worth the investment when you do it right. Working with a professional marketer can help. 

Find ways to keep growing organically. Raising brand awareness through organic content via videos, web content that provides value, newsletters, and other organic content will help. Set aside resources, time, and money to focus entirely on organic traffic. This raises brand awareness and supports your overall marketing efforts. 

Optimize For Voice Search

Since 2019, the rise of voice technology has become a constant thought in every marketer’s mind. Voice search includes voice assistants like Siri and Alexa, as well as chatbots. 

Brands that put their focus on more consumer-friendly, and less invasive, content will thrive in this area. If you can offer valuable content that responds to what consumers use their voice searches for, you can become a winner in this space too. 

Optimizing for voice search means that you will need to focus on your efforts on conversational keywords and create persona-based content that will answer people’s questions. To make this happen, you need to have a team of marketers in place who have experience in SEO who can help you optimize schema markups, keywords, and site organization.
