Create Engaging Social Media Images with these Design Tips

Social media is a huge market, and if you’re not tapping into it right now, then you are seriously missing out.

At the beginning of 2014, around 35% of Americans had an active account on Facebook – that’s almost 3/4 of people! And Twitter was not far behind at 19%, so whether your business is big or small, there’s potential to reach millions through social media. Not convinced?

Then consider this: Facebook, or Meta, currently has over 2.85 billion users worldwide, while Pinterest can boast 454 million monthly active users.Twitter has 206 million daily active users, and Instagram is flexing its muscles at over 1 billion users. It might not be worth your time focusing all your attention on one particular platform – many businesses successfully use a variety to maximize their reach – but you could definitely benefit from creating engaging content that keeps people coming back for more.

A successful social media campaign requires you to create relevant and vibrant content, but there is such a thing as pushing it too far. Images can make or break your success; badly designed images with low-quality photos and unappealing text will leave your audience cold and disinterested in what you have to say. But if you follow these three design tips when putting together your fabulous new piece of content, then the sky really is the limit for how many likes, comments and shares it receives on Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter.

Here’s a social media infographic to get you started!
